Hello everyone and welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. I am super excited to get hands on and start building in the shop. Classes I am teaching this year include Shop Skills, Intro to Agriculture Mechanics and Adv. Agriculture Mechanics. It is the best feeling when a student can demonstrate skills that will help them to be successful contributing members of society and even more importantly, doing something they love!
Agriculture Teacher
Mary Riley
For the past 9 years, Mrs. Riley has been guiding her students through the amazing Ag program at Sonora and showing her students all the possibilities that await them out of high school. Mrs. Riley encourages her students to do their best in and out of the classroom and reinforces all of her students to harvest the endless possibilities that the FFA program here at Sonora has to offer. Mrs. Riley loves to teach students about agriculture because she believes everyone needs to know where their food comes from so that they can make the best decisions to ensure our country has a safe food supply in the future.

Hello, it is my pleasure to be teaching this year Sustainable Biology, Soil Chemistry, The Art and History of Floriculture and Advance Floral Design. In my science classes, I am most excited to see the growth of knowledge in biology and chemistry of animals, plants and how everything is connected on a deeper level. In our floral classes, I am most interested in seeing how our students take what they learn and produce creative projects to demonstrate their knowledge they have been learning.
